The league · Matchday preview
What a match page will look like.
A hand-written sample match between two concept clubs, played by the rules in Rulebook V3.6. No NGL match has been played yet: when one is, its page will fill in the same way, straight from the scoring console.

What you're looking at
A sample, built
the way real
pages will be.
At an NGL match, the scoring console records every event as it happens: each Elimination and who earned it, every foul and its place on the foul ladder, who enters as Next In, and how far each player in Prime and Major is from a Gridlock or Grid Hold. Real match pages in the Matches directory will fill in automatically from that record.
This page applies the same rules to an invented match so you can see the result before the first one is played:
- The clubs are the two concept clubs from The Long Game. They are not confirmed clubs.
- The players are fictional: invented names and numbers from the clubs’ concept rosters. Any resemblance to real people is unintended.
- There is no date, venue, crowd or result. Nothing here counts toward any record.
