Concept visualization of an empty purpose-built Gridball arena

The long game

A new sport.
A world of possibility.

We believe Gridball has the potential to become a major sport—and the NGL can be the home of its professional league.

The vision, before the first playtest.

Our first playtest is still being planned. The arenas, clubs, crowds, and broadcasts shown here are concepts of a possible future, not photographs or footage of existing NGL competition.

A club to call your own

Wear the colors.
Know the players.
Belong to something.

We envision clubs rooted in their communities. Distinct crests and uniforms. Players with different strengths sharing one roster. A team that represents a place and the people in it.

Build around the sport

Built for Gridball.
Close to the action.

We envision arenas designed around this sport: sightlines into all four quadrants, room for both fourteen-player rosters, clear space for four Officiators, and a scoreboard that helps everyone follow the match.

The people make it matter

A game night.
A local rivalry.
Your people.

The future we want includes more than spectators. Supporters in club colors, traditions that grow with each team, and a reason to bring someone to their first match.

From a first-time visitor to a traveling supporter, the ambition is a match experience people want to return to.

Make every rally
readable.

A future broadcast should help a new fan follow the game while giving regular supporters more to explore.

See the whole Grid.

A clear court view establishes the ball, four players, and the space they control.

Follow the change.

Graphics explain the elimination, relevant rotation, and Next In player without losing the rally’s context.

Know the players.

Player stories, match records, and understandable statistics could connect supporters to the club beyond game night.

Broadcast treatments are concepts. No Gridball gameplay footage exists yet.

The NGL appDesign conceptNot yet available

The match in
your pocket.

A concept for a future NGL app: the live Grid, who is Next In, how close a player is to a Gridlock, and a box score that explains itself. Every screen shows the illustrative sample match from the Matchday preview at the same moment, after Round 50 of the fourth quarter. The clubs are concepts, the players are fictional (invented names and numbers from the clubs’ concept rosters), and nothing here is a real match, fixture or result.

The web pages come first. The app follows once there is a season to follow.

Design concept only. There is no NGL app to download. The fixtures use placeholder clubs (Club C, Club D) with no dates or venues. See the full sample match.

Something to chase

The Grid Finals.

A proposed championship for a league built around Gridball.

The season, qualification, and competition format still need development. The ambition is clear: a stage that makes the best of this sport impossible to ignore.

Beyond one league

From a taped court
to the world stage.

The long-term ambition is international play—and, one day, the possibility of Gridball at the Olympic Games.

That is an aspiration, not a current affiliation or announced pathway. It starts with a sport people want to play: accessible courts, understandable rules, strong communities, and competition that can grow across borders.

Now

Prove the game.

Plan the first playtest. Listen to players. Refine the experience.

Build toward

Grow the community.

Repeatable local play, officials, clubs, and a sustainable league.

Long-term ambition

Take it worldwide.

International participation, competition, and a place on the world stage.

Big ambitions start with a first game.
